| This dark XXX cautionary tale about life as a model features some good performances and plenty of inspired directorial touches from Jim Enright. Krystal Steal is the small town model who agent/ boyfriend Barrett Blade secures a deal with a major name in New York; provided that is that she fucks Blade. Very few, if any characters emerge from this as decent people; the men are bastards who hold the power to make or break careers and the women are shallow slappers who just want to be famous and are happy to suck whatever dick needs to be sucked to get them ahead (hee hee!). There is also plenty of graphic coke sniffing going on as Krystal gets more and more dependent and pathetic.
All this does make for some interesting and decadent scenes as the ladies fuck agents like Manuel Ferrara (who gives a decent acting turn), photographers and indulge in all girl acts between themselves. The downbeat ending ensures that there is no copout. Abel Tofucke from UK |
